Sorry, aber bis auf das erste Quarter war das ein ganzes mieses Spiel unserer Offenseline heute... GRAUSAM!
Seldom do you see NFL teams rotate starting right tackles — or any position on the offensive line, for that matter — but that could be the case for a while with the Rams. Team insiders are telling us that waiver pickups Brandon Gorin and Rob Petitti are likely to continue rotating at the ORT spot until further notice after the decent job both of them did in the Rams’ first victory of the season over the Saints. Straying from the common philosophy that continuity and cohesiveness are essential in most successful O-lines, the Rams think the intriguing change of pace that the Gorin-Petitti package offers could be an effective attribute, the way we hear it. While Gorin, who was added to the roster Sept. 12, is more of a rangy, athletic, prototypical right tackle with long arms, Petitti, who was signed Oct 24, is more of a bulky mauler. It’s expected that OT-OG Todd Steussie will rejoin the team next week after recovering from the foot surgery he underwent in the preseason. Yet, after such a long layoff, it remains to be seen how quickly he will be able to enter the ORT mix, if at all.
